A person who is an adult can be described as a person or animal who has reached full growth.The biological meaning of the term refers to animals that have reached sexual maturity, which makes it capable of reproduction. When used with human beings, the term "adult" could mean anything that is related to legal or social ideas. Legal adults and not "minors" or "non-adults can be defined as someone over the age of majority and is therefore considered independent, responsible as well as autonomous. They may also be regarded as a "major". The age for achieving legal adulthood is 18, however, definitions can differ based on laws, countries, and psychological development.

Adulthood refers to the period that an individual has reached maturity in terms of both physical and mental development. The age of adulthood typically begins when a person reaches an age that is 21. The middle age is about 40 years old and is followed by the older age of around 60. The adulthood process is split into three phases: early adulthood (18-mid-30s), mid-30s-mid-60s, and late adulthood mid-60s until death. In the early years of adulthood the body is at its full physical maturity. However, our size and weight may rise. When we are young the physical capabilities of our bodies are at their best which includes muscular strength, reaction time sensors, as well as heart function.
